The Six-Step Valuation Workflow
Every engagement follows a structured process that ensures consistency, transparency and independent professional judgement.
Brief
A confidential conversation about what is being valued, the purpose of the valuation (insurance / capital gain / estate / donation / auction / litigation), the deadline, and the audience for the report. We confirm whether the engagement is one we accept and quote a fee and timeline.
Engagement Letter
A written engagement letter setting out scope, basis of value, deliverable, fee and turnaround. No work begins without a signed engagement letter.
Inspection
Physical inspection of the acrylic painting, in situ where possible. Photographs taken under standard, raking, and where required, ultraviolet illumination. Condition notes recorded with attention to acrylic-specific failure modes — paint film integrity, surface chalking, ground-layer adhesion, substrate condition. Documents of provenance reviewed.
Research & Analysis
Attribution analysis, provenance research, condition reconciliation, and market-comparables analysis using published auction-house data (Saffronart, AstaGuru, Christie's, Sotheby's, Bonhams, Phillips, Pundole's, DAG). The bulk of the work happens here, away from the painting itself.
Draft Report
A draft report is prepared and reviewed internally before being sent to the client. Where the client has factual information that should be incorporated (additional provenance, restoration records, exhibition history), it is integrated at this stage.
Final Signed Report
The final report is issued on letterhead, signed personally by Nitesh Shrivastava, with the valuer's certificate of registration. A digital copy and one bound hard copy are provided as standard; additional copies on request.

The final report is issued on official letterhead, signed personally by Er. Nitesh Shrivastava, together with the Government Approved Valuer registration details. Every engagement includes a professionally prepared digital report and one bound hard copy, with additional certified copies available upon request.
